Women walking the city at night
From 9pm on Monday 6 October Eleonore Ozanne leads her global project to follow the path of the full moon – Women walking the city, at night.
We have three Australian walks planned so far, in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Contact the organiser of each walk via Instagram using the links below to join in. Feel free to contact @eleonore_ozanne if you'd like to organise a walk of your own.

Eleonore’s instructions
Walk following the path of the moon.
Women who would like to join us along the way are welcome.
Whoever wants to leave the walk can do so at any time.
The walk will end when there are four women left walking or when the group decides to stop.
After the walk, send any audio, written, video message about your experience, sensations, memories or reflections to Eleonore.
AWA Monthly Online Gathering
AWA hosts a monthly online gathering for members for an hour from 4.30pm AEST on Sunday afternoon.
Gatherings offer an opportunity to get to know other walking artists from around the country. Several members are invited to present their practice to the group each meeting. We also share details about upcoming exhibitions and events - local and international - and review publications about walking and creative practice.

AWA Retreats
The AWA is working towards hosting an annual retreat every year for members. It will be an opportunity to make work together, develop ongoing projects and create deeper connections with other members. AWA Exhibitions
In February 2024, Articulate Project Space in Leichhardt (Sydney) hosted Way Beyond, an exhibition of the work of 20 AWA members from around Australia. The exhibition brought together artworks made at the intersection of art making and human terrestrial movement.
